Kirk, when I saw your profile, and it said “Favorite Game: Mega Man 2″, I was like “Heck yeah! The coolest GPC ever!” That is my favorite game to this day. I always wanted to be a GPC but never could, since I live in Texas and got sidetracked with other things in life, like school etc. You were lucky to have that job.

Kirk Starr…..hmm, your name does sound vaguely familiar. I might of also written you at Nintendo when I was a kid. I used to write letters about Shadowgate for NES, that game was hard! If that was you that helped me, thanks.

I never really subscribed to NP,I was mainly a EGM fan after the snes days. NP had so much bull inside, too indepth for my taste. But the older EGM, when the old publisher was Sendai,not a fan of Ziff Davis.

Sorry to disappoint you Jen, but I’ve never rocked a mullet. I hate long hair. The closest I got to an embarassing hair cut was a crew cut in 5th grade. When everyone else was getting mullets.

Wow. I haven’t read the other article (yet), but this is simply fascinating. I had every issue of NP from the first one till sometime in ‘96. And I wrote a few times to the counselors- don’t remember if I got a letter from Kirk, but it’s cool to see that they’re regular people. With super-mullets.

Nice job Brian. A lot of good questions for Kirk with a lot of good answers. I did enjoy the hard-hitting mullet questions the most! Maybe Kirk will become a toast regular.
