After a dozen new shows, CAVEradio is stilling going pretty strong. It seems our listenership goes up a bit each week and we’re having tons of fun putting it all on. The call-ins are great, the chat is hot, and we can only guess that everyone is enjoying themselves. But now it’s time to get serious.

On the last CAVEradio show we put out a call to create our first station ID, to be the voice of CAVEradio. We asked you to call in and deliver - and boy did you. Although we planned to name a winner during the show, the entries were all really good so we’re taking the vote to you.

Listen through the entries with each player below and then vote for your favorite by leaving a comment. Just be sure to include the name or number of the voice you’re voting for.

Things seem to be going well with the show.

The only upgrade I’d like to see as a listener/participant is the chat client.

Check out http://www.mibbit.com/ for an AJAX IRC client that you can embed into your page. I’m pretty sure they’ll let you create a channel on their site so that you don’t have to operate your own server.

The chat client we use now is the only one I could find that was small and required no sign-up. One click for visitors (if that) and you’re ready to chat.

I vote for #5. Her voice is so nice and smooth. While I think Thee has a point about needing a deeper voice on the others, I also like #1 because he also has a smooth voice. It reminds me a lot of popular podcasts like The Moth and This American Life. They don’t have deep voices, but still sound really professional.

My vote’s going for numero three - but without the second “Cave Radio” in it? Or number five. I like how her voice lightens up at the end. Either match the new site design - which is great looking btw. I agree with Renee, I envy your design skills. :)

And I agree with Rufus…Becky needs to record the “Mustache” line and send it in. It’s perfect.

I will admit that I’m slightly biased, but I just can’t help but love #3. I do also really enjoy #5. Can’t we have two voices? The deep one and the girly one?

That’s awesome. I don’t know if I want to change my vote, though. Well, maybe. Ok, I’ll list them by order of awesomeness. Number three still has to by my favorite. Mustache ride beat out number five though, it’s just too funny!
