Eletronics - Where else but Radio Shack?

In my continued quest for a finish line gate, I recruited friends from work and they made out a list of parts I need but Radio Shack doesn't (appear to) have some of the parts. Where else do you go for component electronics?

And I'd prefer retail shops rather than on-line. I don't want to have to wait for $1 parts just to find out they don't work.

hobby town or there is a hole in the wall components shop on indianola. I'll have to track down their name. Big G should know some too from his radio group.
