What moment in music history/legend would you have wanted to experience? I'm thinking of this as I watch Elvis' comeback show.

I would have loved to have been at a Doors show when Jim Morrison was acting totally nuts. At the time, I would have found it annoying but now, I think it would have been great to have seen that.

I suppose the easy out is when anyone big in music died unexpectedly...those are probably important because such events cause everyone to suddenly care and enjoy music they might not have otherwise listened to. Plus it throws the dead person into legend status that then inspires others to make more music

I'm going to avoid the usual "Woodstock" answer to this question. Social anxiety prevents me from finding Woodstock desirable. I think the Beatles' final performance on the roof of Abbey Road Studios gets my vote. The Beatles hadn't toured in years, they are about to hang it up, and it didn't cost anything! Sure, the view of the band could have been a bit better, but to hear them play live one last time would be really something to tell people about. "Yeah, I was walking down the street and all of the sudden..." I love the Beatles and give them all the credit in the world for what they did for music, and the music that they made. To experience their last hurrah would have been a really exciting (and somewhat sad) moment.

That's a good one Chris. I am with you on Woodstock...that would not have been for me at all. This is a typical answer but The Beatles' first time in America must have been really exciting too. I like seeing people get really excited and passionate about something and just watching it all unfold.
