The They Rule web site is not new. I first stumbled across it in a college art class, but it has since gotten an upgrade and is now easier to use and thus you can start shaking your head in disbelief sooner.
Here’s how you play
Go to the They Rule web site and go through the intro screens.
Once you’re at the screen with the menu…
1. Click the “Companies” option to open a long list of companies.
2. Find a company you just can’t stand and believe is evil.
3. A little table will appear. Drag it to the center of the page.
4. Hover over the table and click “Directors” from the tiny menu. People will bloom from the table.
5. Hover over the table again, this time click “Contract”. Some of the people will disappear, which is fine.
6. No go around to each of the people and hover over them. Click the “Companies” option from their tiny menu. Another table will appear.
7. Drag this new table some place kind of far from the first table, then repeat steps 4 - 7.
Before too long you’ll have a chain of companies that are all related because of people that are on the Board of Directors in various companies.
You’ll have to do some fancy arranging of tables and people real quick, but by then you may just give up or start over.
Of course there are other ways to slice and dice this site, but I found those steps the quickest way to find out the true Axis of Evil.
