This new Toast is quite possibly the closet any of my web sites has come to web standards. I know this is a nothing to toot my horn about considering the crowd, but I reached a point where I’m happy with how it looks AND happy with how it works. Usually one of those two is missing.
Hopefully you’ll find the new Toast easier to navigate and easier to read. Also improved accessibility and printing. (My site never looked better in a shitty browser or on Lynx!) You should find the archive quite complete and convenient for find old stories, including the Distractions - which can now support commenting.
The site is only minus a search engine, which will be tacked on as time permits, although around here I don’t feel it’s a big need.
The gallery is still in need of work, the thumbnails aren’t really thumbnails (they never were). But until a new publishing system can be rolled out it’ll just have to stay that way.
