With my birthday and Christmas coming up it’s time to start thinking about what I want to ask for. I am currently very deficient in the tool department and thus started going down the list of man tools I think I could use and would like to have. First thing that popped into my head was an air compressor.

The wife asked what I would do with an air compressor and I replied, “what can’t you do with an air compressor?” I explained it is more than something to fill your basketball with air. Since you can buy all sorts of tools that attach and use the pneumatic goodness it literally the gift that keeps on giving.

KitchenAid mixerNaturally, she compared it to a KitchenAid mixer. A bohemith in its own right, I must agree with the analogy. A KitchenAid is a big investment up front but has more accessories than an iPod. Of course, most of the accessories get used once and possibly never again, but nonetheless they are great to have and honestly make gift giving extremely easy. An air compressor follows these same rules.

From various guns to painters to filling up the bicycle tires, an air compressor is a very versitile tool and is probably something everyone should have. Hopefully, I will have one soon.

Got a KitchenAid as part of the wedding registry. Looks incredibly useful, but haven’t used it yet.

You still going to get that molding table?

Why would you get a moldy table?

    Molding table…not moldy table…

Molding table as in make your own plastics molding table. Supposidly you can make one out of a bench a a vaccuum cleaner. But that doesn’t save you the effort (or cost) of the materials you need to make the plastic parts.

The KitchenAid is really useful…not like I use it myself, but I know she gets things whipped up and ready to eat a lot quicker with lot more consistency. Certainly not a bad thing to have in your kitchen arsenal — especially if it comes as a gift!
