My web sites are complete and utter loss. Of course, I never intended for them to make any money. It’s a hobby and it’s fun to do. My payoff is being able to create anything I want…as long as it is web-based. But, as it turns out, my web sites are apparently worth $2,167 sum.
All this accordingly to dnScoop.com - which uses some math magic to deduce your site to a value. OK, it’s not so much magic and just some arbitrary formula. From what I gather, the value is derived from age, pagerank, traffic, and incoming links — which explains my low value (amongst other things).
The oldest domain I own is moogman.com that dates back to 1999. The most valuable domain is moogworld.com which tallies in at $1,016. Morning Toast has done quite well considering it is a personal blog and only 3-years-old.
Along with some actual hard statistics, dnScoop offers some more mathmagical numbers telling you how ad revenue you could make and so on. I’m not sure the information can be used in your web site business plan, but I guess some info is better than nothing.
I still don’t plan to make any money off my sites. But if push comes to shove I’m glad I could unload them all for a cool two grand (in my dreams).

I’ll give you $3.50
