Everyone seems to like zombies. Maybe they’ve just become hip over the past few years, but it seems like everyone can enjoy a good zombie movie or story.
I think zombies are one of the most flexible horror monsters. It seems the rules for zombies are pretty loose, so long as they are dead and hell bent on killing, that’s enough. But I the other reason people latch on to zombies is that zombies are people…or at least they once were. Zombies are just normal folks all jacked up on evil - pretty simple. It’s easy to think about what type of zombie your neighbor would be, or your mailman, or your high school English teacher. Anyone can be a zombie and that’s the beauty.
And speaking of zombies, when was the last time you played Zombie Road?
Zombie Road is a little desktop shooter game I made last summer. It was an experiment more than anything, just to see if I could use some software to make a game. To my surprise the game worked and more so, was somewhat of a success. And I say success because people are STILL playing the game!
I gave players the ability to submit scores to an on-line leaderboard, and just about everyday there are some new posted scores. Frankly, it has blow my mind. I didn’t have many expectations for the game and the fact that it’s still being downloaded (2500+ so far) and played over a year later is amazing. It’s not a perfect game, it’s kind of easy, but it’s fun when you have a few minutes and need a break.
So this Halloween season, throw in a good zombie flick and give Zombie Road a go, because zombie killing is always fun.
YAY Zombies! Favorite horror creature ever. I’m almost always a zombie for Halloween. I’ve gotten pretty good with liquid latex. This year I’m gonna be something girly, though.

I got myself a hair band wig so I’m going to be a metal band guy — but I think I may be a zombie rocker! Just a little extra blood and scars should do the trick.
That’s another reason zombies rule - all it takes to be one is a little blood, paleness, possibly some puss, and a good limp. You don’t have to buy anything special.
Exactly! I usually just grab whatever pants and shirt that I don’t wear anymore and destroy them. I have a make up kit full of the zombie makeup and such that I’ve collected over the years. Ironically, it’s in an old First Aid case…. That’s always fun to explain when house guests are looking for a band-aide.
