Feeling safe with Xbox Live?
Playstation’s network (PSN) has been down for over a week thanks to a super hack. While the hack has suspended playing any games online, it turns out user data was stolen. My first reaction was, “I’m glad I have an Xbox,” but then started to wonder what if this happened to Xbox Live?

Inside the Xbox Game Room
The Xbox Game Room was finally released this past week and while Microsoft chose not to ignore my suggestions for the Game Room, I nonetheless spent an entire night playing with the quasi-free Xbox add-on. I was surprised how much fun playing doll house with a virtual arcade can be.

Trials HD, a true Excitebike
Trials HD from the Xbox Live Arcade is another title saved by having a big TV. When I played the demo on my old TV, I just couldn’t get into the experience. The graphics were too dark and too small. But now, they’re awesome. This is game is what you’d get if Excitebike was really [...]

The world on-line gaming scene makes it hard to be a local champ, so that leaves the only fun competition between you [...]

Placing value on video games
I’m a value gamer. Despite the fact that hype works on me in most cases, I’m very mindful (too mindful) about which video games I spend my money on. I’m always in a value debate with myself. What’s more important, the replay or one-time experience?

Why do game lobbies suck so bad?
The arcade classic Outrun was released on XBox Live Arcade this week and I just had to buy it. As a fan of the game the $10 was a sweet spot. The game is exactly what I expected with the added bonus of racing against others on-line. But as I connected to race others I [...]
